Surrey's Greatest XI commemorated in Original Artworks as part of their 175th Anniversary celebrations

2019 marked the 175th Anniversary of Surrey County Cricket Club and, to mark the historic event, Surrey asked supporters to vote for the greatest ever 11 players to grace the legendary Kennington Oval.

The marketing team at The KIA Oval were keen to honour the chosen players with individual art portraits to hang in their brand new Hall of Fame, as well as providing supporters with the chance to purchase their own anniversary prints and merchandise.

Surrey approached Steve Parker at SPARKIUS Art to create the original artwork and the artist produced a collection of eleven individual images alongside a unique group image of the Greatest XI team in the hallowed Oval ground.

As part of the club's Anniversary celebrations, individual Art Prints were presented to featured players and the families of those no longer with us. The images were also transposed onto a selection of merchandise items including mugs, tea towels and art prints.
